The Migration and Ethnic Relations Program and Centre offer a wide variety of lectures, events and conferences. Each academic year the colloquium series features distinguished scholars, policy-makers, and practitioners from local, national, and international institutions and organizations. Our own graduate students present their research at the annual graduate student conference. The MER Centre hosts conferences and workshops of interest locally, nationally, and internationally. The Centre and Program collaborate with the broader university and local community by holding an event during Western’s International Week.
